On August 26, 2021, a tragic accident occurred on the Webuye-Eldoret road, resulting in the loss of five lives.
A lorry, involved in a multi-vehicle collision, rammed into a Probox and burst into flames, causing widespread destruction.
The majority of the victims were burnt beyond recognition, and nearby buildings were also set ablaze.
Rescue teams were at the scene in Mukhonje centre, but some people were still trapped in the wreckage at the time of publishing.
Police were present but had yet to issue an official statement.
