On August 24, 2021, the Odinga family celebrated two special occasions: Raila Odinga's wife, Mama Ida, marked her 71st birthday, and her daughter-in-law, Yvonne Wambui, gave her the best birthday gift ever.
Yvonne, the wife of Raila Odinga Junior, welcomed a newborn baby boy, bringing joy to the family.
Junior took to Twitter to express his gratitude to his wife, saying, 'She gave my mum @Ida Odinga the best birthday present in the world. Thank you and God bless you. I love you so much.'
This is the couple's second child, adding to their family of two boys.
Junior had previously spoken about their struggles to conceive, revealing in a 2019 radio interview that they had been married for a long time without a child, and had struggled for about five years before God blessed them with their firstborn.
