Published on August 25, 2021, the Huawei Apps UP 2021 competition is currently underway, inviting all mobile app developers from across the African continent to submit their best work.
Developers can compete for a share of the total $1 million prize pool against peers from other regions, including the Middle East, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and China.
There are seven categories to choose from: Best Application Award, Best Game Award, Most Social Impact App, Best HMS Core Innovation Award, All Scenario Coverage Award, Excellent Student Award, and Starlight Creative Award.
By participating in the contest, developers will gain access to over 730 million Huawei global smartphone users and increase their access to potential partners and investors.
Developers will also have access to all of the open capabilities provided by HUAWEI Core, enabling them to design and create innovative applications using nearly 60 ready-to-use developer kits.
The deadline for submissions is September 5, 2021, and developers from South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Mauritius, and Zimbabwe are reminded not to miss out on this fantastic opportunity.
