Published on August 25, 2021, Nicholas Muyoti, the youthful and ruthless Head Coach of Kakamega Homeboyz, has been crowned the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF-PL) Coach of the Month for July.
With a remarkable record of five wins out of six games played during the month, Muyoti edged out Ulinzi Stars boss Benjamin Nyangweso and Wazito Coach Francis Kimanzi to claim the prestigious award.
Homeboyz' impressive performance saw them score 15 goals and concede only seven in the month. Their winning streak began with a 3-1 victory over Ulinzi Stars, followed by a thrilling 4-2 win over Mathare United.
Although they suffered a solitary goal loss to Wazito, Muyoti's team bounced back with a 2-1 win over Nzoia Sugar and a 4-1 thrashing of Kariobangi Sharks in their final match of the month.
With this win, Muyoti becomes the seventh different recipient of the award this season, joining an elite group of coaches including Zedekiah Otieno, Francis Kimanzi, Andre Casa Mbungo, Stanley Okumbi, Vaz Pinto, and Robert Matano.
