OPPO is gearing up to launch its Reno6 series in Kenya this September, marking the company's first 5G device in the market. The launch comes at a time when 5G coverage is still limited in the country, with Safaricom being the only network with public 5G stations.
Despite the lack of widespread 5G coverage, OPPO is set to introduce devices that support 5G connectivity, including the Reno6 Z, Reno6, Reno6 Pro, and Reno6 Pro+. The devices are expected to be priced from KES 41,999.

The Reno6 5G will feature a 6.43-inch display, a 64MP primary camera, and a MediaTek MT6877 Dimensity 900 5G chipset.
The Reno6 Pro 5G will feature a 6.55-inch display, a 64MP primary camera, and a MediaTek MT6893 Dimensity 1200 5G chipset. The Reno6 Pro+ 5G will feature a 6.55-inch display, a 50MP primary camera, and a Qualcomm SM8250-AC Snapdragon 870 5G chipset.
The devices will also feature different battery capacities, with the Reno6 Z having a 4310mAh battery, the Reno6 5G having a 4300mAh battery, and the Reno6 Pro 5G and Reno6 Pro+ 5G having 4500mAh batteries.
OPPO's Reno6 series is expected to be a significant addition to the Kenyan market, offering consumers a range of 5G-enabled devices with advanced specifications.
