On August 22, 2021, a disturbing incident unfolded in Mwingi, Kenya, where a 24-year-old choir boy, Calvin Baraza, stabbed his girlfriend, Faith Makau, thrice on her stomach.
Calvin, who was later lynched by Mwingi residents, had penned an eerie suicide note to both their parents, instructing them to ensure that even in death, Faith would never escape him.
According to reports, Calvin and Faith are both receiving treatment at the Mwingi Level 4 hospital, with Faith being treated for her stab wounds and Calvin for his injuries sustained during the lynching.
What's even more shocking is that Calvin had allegedly taken poison to end his life, but that attempt was unsuccessful.
Inside his house, a suicide note was recovered, where he had asked his mother and Faith's mother not to miss their burial, and directed their bodies to be buried inside the same coffin as it was their wish.
Calvin's chilling demands were written in the note, which read, 'Please mum Faith, make sure you come to my funeral. Please mum Calvin make sure you come to my funeral. Don't separate our corpses, put us together. Tuzikwe pamoja.' The letter was signed, 'Calvin and Faith, our wishes.'
