Wajir County's Vulnerable Households to Get Free Medical Attention

On August 22, 2021, the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) launched a biometric registration program for vulnerable households in Wajir County.

State health insurer NHIF has begun registering 21,568 households in the county, which will allow them to access free medical care using their insurer's cards.

Wajir Governor Ali Mukhtar expressed his administration's commitment to registering all 107,840 poor households in the county, ensuring they receive the medical attention they need.

During the launch at Leheley Sub-County Hospital, Governor Mukhtar emphasized the importance of this initiative in providing healthcare to the most vulnerable members of society.
