On August 20, 2021, Cheki Kenya, a trusted online marketplace for buying and selling cars, vans, trucks, and other vehicles, marked a significant milestone in its expansion journey by launching its new office in Mombasa's Jubilee Arcade.

The event, which brought together car dealers and industry stakeholders, aimed to foster strategic partnerships and bring a greater variety of cars to the Cheki website.

According to Dennis Ochieng, Cheki Kenya's product manager, the company's decision to set up base in Mombasa is part of its efforts to serve customers better. 'We have partnered with insurance providers, car finance, car inspection, and other key players to ensure a seamless car-buying experience,' he said.

Also present at the forum was Mr. James Kitavi, CEO of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), who spoke about the government's new directive to ease the clearance congestion at the port. He emphasized the importance of this initiative in ensuring faster clearing of cars by importers.

MD-Consumer Classifieds, ROAM.Africa, Brenna Excell, highlighted the strategic importance of Mombasa for Cheki's operations and its commitment to serving the entirety of Kenya. 'Mombasa is not only a key location for our operations but also a testament to our dedication to bringing transparency to car buying and selling transactions across the country,' she said.
