On Sunday evening, Roselyn Atieno Aguyo, a mother of one, found herself locked in her rental house in Masai Estate, Langata, Nairobi, after her landlord, Wilson Gacanja, and his wife, Elizabeth Gitiri Gacanja, allegedly locked the door without checking if anyone was inside.
According to a demand letter dated August 19, 2021, Roselyn's lawyer claims that she has been confined and locked up in her house for five days, with her relatives bringing her food and drugs through the window.
The letter, which K24 Digital is in possession of, states that Roselyn's health has deteriorated and that she needs urgent medical attention.
Her lawyer argues that the treatment meted out to Roselyn is unacceptable and that no human being should undergo such treatment, regardless of their circumstances.
