On August 19, 2021, UAP Old Mutual Group announced the launch of an enhanced insurance solution designed to cater to the medical needs of senior citizens.
The new solution, AfyaImara Seniors Cover, offers medical insurance cover to individuals between the ages of 65 and 80 years, providing them with comprehensive benefits and financial protection.
According to Japheth Ogalloh, General Manager of Health Insurance at UAP Old Mutual General Insurance, the solution will cover day and inpatient hospitalization, outpatient treatment, optical and dental services, with enhanced limits for pre-existing and chronic conditions, including HIV/AIDS.
"No one is too old to enjoy a good medical cover," Ogalloh said. "With AfyaImara Seniors, you are guaranteed a quality, healthy life with financial freedom."
The AfyaImara Seniors Cover includes a range of benefits, including inpatient limits from Sh500,000 to Sh10,000,000, optional outpatient cover ranging from Sh50,000 to Sh200,000, and annual wellness check-ups.
"We have made this cover affordable while also ensuring there will be no excess for inpatient cover and that our customers can pay their premiums in instalments for the inpatient cover," Ogalloh added.
