Kenyan winger Ovella Ochieng has made a significant move to South African Premier League side Marumo Gallants, joining from Swedish club Vasalund. The transfer was confirmed on August 18, 2021, as the club finalises its preparation for the new 2021/22 campaign.
According to sources, Ochieng will reunite with former Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne, who now handles Gallants FC. The 25-year-old winger has been a key player for Kenya, making his international debut in 2016 and scoring his first goal in a 2-1 win against New Zealand in the Intercontinental Cup held in India.
Marumo Gallants has been busy in the transfer market, with the addition of Ivorian striker Sede Dion and defender Sicelo Hlatshwayo, who previously played for Jomo Cosmos and Polokwane City. Ochieng becomes the latest player to join the side, bringing his skills and experience to the team.
