On August 20, 2021, the High Court Chamber for International and Cross-Border Crimes announced a delay in the verdict reading of Paul Rusesabagina's highly anticipated trial.

Originally scheduled for Friday, August 20, 2021, the court stated that 'another date will be communicated to the litigants this Friday.'

Paul Rusesabagina, known as the 'Hotel Rwanda' hero, faces nine terrorism-related charges and could face life imprisonment if convicted.

After six months of a dramatic trial, Rusesabagina was expected to learn his fate on the postponed date.
