Kenyan Fintech Startup Kwara Joins Mastercard's Start Path Program

Published on August 18, 2021, Kenyan fintech startup Kwara has made history by being selected for the Mastercard Start Path program.

As one of the 11 global startups chosen to join the prestigious program, Kwara will have the opportunity to learn from Mastercard experts and explore co-innovation opportunities.

Cynthia Wandia, Kwara's CEO, expressed her excitement at the prospect of working with Mastercard, stating, “We are honoured to join forces with Mastercard and work on our shared vision to create financial inclusion for 1 billion people.”

According to Amy Neale, Senior Vice President, Fintech & Enablers at Mastercard, “When fintech companies thrive, we all benefit.” She added, “We’re excited for Kwara to join the Mastercard Start Path program where they’ll receive access to our technology, customers and mentorship to accelerate their journey to grow and scale.”
