Trending Celebrity Tidbits ¶

Kenyan celebrities continue to make headlines with their personal lives and scandals. One trend that has been gaining attention is the rise of 'Nyumba Ndogo,' or co-wives, in celebrity relationships.
Two notable examples of 'Nyumba Ndogo' are socialite Amber Ray and Nairobi politician Karen Nyamu. Amber Ray was recently spotted with matatu boss Jimal Roho Safi, despite publicly announcing the end of their relationship. Jimal had previously returned to his first wife, Amira.
Karen Nyamu, on the other hand, has been embroiled in a scandal with musician Samidoh. The two have been involved in a publicized affair, with Karen revealing that she is expecting Samidoh's baby. She also claimed that Samidoh had beaten her up, vowing to take action against him.
While some may view polygamy as a societal norm, it's worth noting that women like Anerlisa Muigai are still reeling from the loss of their loved ones. Anerlisa's sister, Tecra, was brutally murdered, and Anerlisa has spoken out about the injustice.
Another celebrity making headlines is actress Trisha Khalid, who has been exposed for dating a married man, Joseph Vincent Onyangi. Trisha has proudly admitted to the relationship, stating that Onyangi finances her lavish lifestyle.
Interestingly, the trend of young men dating older women for financial gain is also on the rise. A recent incident in Nairobi's CBD saw a young man carrying a billboard seeking a 'sugar mummy.' While some may view this as a desperate measure, others see it as a reflection of societal changes.
Finally, American singer Chris Brown has shown his appreciation for the Kiswahili language by giving his son the nickname 'Simba' (Lion). He has also named his dog 'Damu,' which means 'blood' in Kiswahili.
