July 27, 2021 - Kenya's Sacco sector has witnessed significant leadership changes in recent times.
Robert Njue Kithanju, the Chairman of Winas Savings and Credit Cooperative Society (Sacco), has been appointed as the new chairman of the Kenya Teachers Sacco Association (KETSA).
He succeeds John Muigai Njuguna, whose term has ended, and was also elected as a director at the Kenya Union of Savings & Credit Co-operatives Ltd. (KUSCCO).
Notably, Kithanju is also the Chairman at Cosmopolitan Sacco, formerly known as Nakuru Teachers Sacco.
Meanwhile, Tartisio Ituuru, the Vice-chairman of Solution Sacco Ltd, has been elected as a KUSCCO director and was sworn in during the KUSCCO 33rd Annual Delegates.
Additionally, Ukulima Savings and Credit Cooperative society (Sacco) has confirmed Samuel Otieno as the Sacco General Manager for Business Development and Marketing.
The appointment was announced by the Sacco National Chairman, Dr. Philip Cherono, during the 2021 Annual Delegates Meeting (ADN) held at the Nairobi Serena hotel.
