Kenyan Firms Urged to Prepare for EAC MSME Trade Fair

Published on July 27, 2021, the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development is urging Kenyan firms to prepare well in advance for the EAC MSME Trade Fair in Mwanza, Tanzania, in December.

Speaking at the launch of the National Organizing Committee for the 21st EAC MSME's Trade Fair, Cabinet Secretary Betty Maina emphasized the importance of preparation to avoid last-minute rushes and ensure a smooth experience for all participants.

CS Maina also reminded Kenyans traveling to the Mwanza Trade Fair to take necessary vaccines against diseases, citing the need to prevent the spread of illnesses and protect the health of all attendees.

She further highlighted the significance of the EAC exhibition in promoting regional integration, bridging knowledge and technological gaps, and opening up new market frontiers for East African Micro and Small Enterprises.

CS Maina also emphasized the need for regional infrastructure improvements to connect consumers and producers throughout the continent and promote job creation and wealth creation opportunities.

The exhibition aims to support 800 MSMEs develop new regional channels and increase their market reach, providing an excellent opportunity for government, the private sector, and MSME support organizations to network and collaborate.
