On July 26, 2021, the Senate Committee on Information, Communication and Technology toured the Konza Technopolis project, praising the progress made by the Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA).
Chairman of the Committee, Baringo County Senator Gideon Moi, expressed his encouragement for the work being done by KoTDA, citing the authority's ability to achieve its set targets despite financial constraints.

During the site visit, the committee inspected the progress made in operationalizing the National Data Centre, which was launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta earlier in the month.
Senator Moi noted that KoTDA was transforming the Technopolis into a technology and innovation hub, as envisioned by Vision 2030.
He highlighted the authority's achievements, including the establishment of 15 start-ups at Konza, which further solidifies the Technopolis's position as a hub for innovation and technology.
Senator Moi expressed his support for the Konza Bill, stating that it would anchor the project in law.
