On Sunday, a woman from Waithaka, Dagoretti Sub County in Nairobi, made a shocking report to the Waithaka Police Station. According to the police OB report, Nasimiyu Kibisu went to the station at 07:30 pm to report that she had killed her two children.
Police officers on duty immediately visited the crime scene, where they found the remains of the two children, Sydney Miheso, aged 4 years, and Miracle Miheso, aged 2 years, lying on the sofa of her house.
Police say preliminary investigations are yet to establish why the woman killed her two children. Nasimiyu was arrested and is in police custody pending further investigations and arraignment.
She is scheduled for a court appearance on Tuesday, where detectives will ask for more time to finish investigations. The remains of the two children were taken to the City Mortuary awaiting autopsy.
