ChildFund Appoints Chege Ngugi As Regional Director For Africa

ChildFund International has appointed Chege Ngugi as the Regional Director for Africa, succeeding Zambia's Victor Koyi who has retired after holding the position since 2018.

Chege Ngugi, a seasoned professional with a strong background in program management, fundraising, and partnership building, will oversee the operations of nine countries across Africa, including Mozambique, Zambia, Guinea, Senegal, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Kenya.

With over 20 years of experience in the development sector, Chege has previously served as a Country Director in Mozambique, Ethiopia, and Kenya, where he championed various innovations in programming, fundraising, and partnership building, particularly with corporates.

Under his leadership, ChildFund will continue to support countries in Africa through diverse and innovative projects in household economic strengthening, child protection, education, food security, health, and nutrition, among others.
