Published on July 26, 2021, the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) has awarded full scholarships worth Sh3.3 million to 22 needy students from Mandera North.
Mandera North MP Bashir Abdullahi has been sponsoring students from vulnerable families for the past few years, allocating Sh28 million in 2019, Sh30 million in 2020, and Sh34 million in 2021.
Abdullahi emphasized the government's commitment to providing equal opportunities for all Kenyan children to learn.
He urged the beneficiaries to work hard and secure a bright future for themselves and their families.
Area MCA Abdi Kulla also called on parents and the Ministry of Education to ensure every child has access to education.
‘I urge the government to focus on education in hardship areas to ensure no child is left behind, with a view to providing equal opportunities for every learner,’ said Abdi.
