CHAN: Harambee Stars to Face Tanzania Again in Qualifiers ¶
Kenya's Harambee Stars will face Tanzania in the first round of the 2020 CHAN qualifiers, a change from the initial draw that had them facing Burundi.
The change was made by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after they revised the draw to include Djibouti.
According to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), the team will face Tanzania in the first round of the qualifiers, which will be held in Tanzania from July 26 to 28.
The second leg will be played in Nairobi in early August.
FKF confirmed the changes in a statement, saying, "The national team, Harambee Stars, is scheduled to face Tanzania in the first round of the 2020 CHAN qualifiers, which will be held in July. As they were initially scheduled to face Burundi, Kenya will now face Tanzania."
The team will be made up of players who play in Kenya, and if they win, they will face the winner between Ethiopia and Djibouti in the next round.
Sebastien Migne's team will travel to Tanzania for the first leg on July 26 and 28, with the second leg to be played in Nairobi in early August.
