On Sunday, the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) women's team made a statement in the Kenya Handball Federation National League, defeating Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) 40-13 at the Nyayo National Stadium handball court in Nairobi.

With this win, KDF remain unbeaten in three matches, securing third position on the standings with six points.

JKUAT struggled to keep pace, trailing 5-19 at the breather.

Elsewhere, Nanyuki and Kenyatta University played to a 26-26 draw, with both teams tied 13-13 at the breather.

Nanyuki coach Fredrick Otieno expressed disappointment with the outcome, saying, "We would have won the match but the players relaxed at some point and we were punished. We will come back better,"

Meanwhile, KU coach Geoffrey Barasa noted improvement in his team.

On the men's side, National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) bounced back from a shock loss to GSU, defeating JKUAT 35-19.
