On February 27, 2021, KCB and Kabras Sugar RFC showcased their prowess in the Kenya Cup, extending their unbeaten streaks with convincing victories over their opponents.
Defending champions KCB secured a 50-3 win over Mwamba at KCB Sports Club, earning their fifth bonus point victory of the season and maintaining their three-point lead at the top of the standings.
With 33 points, KCB has maintained their seven-match unbeaten run, picking bonus points in five matches and missing the mark in two.
Perennial rivals Kabras Sugar RFC, meanwhile, continued their unbeaten run, defeating Menengai Oilers 38-9 at Nandi Bears Club in Nandi County. The win saw Kabras Sugar move to second place in the league standings with 30 points, with a game in hand.
Strathmore Leos also made a significant impact, storming into the top four with 16 points after a four-match unbeaten run, including a 44-5 win over Nakuru.
The Kenya Cup standings now see a 13-point gap between Kabras Sugar and third-placed Menengai Oilers, with Kabras Sugar having picked bonus points in all six matches and a game in hand.
