Ben Pol, the Moyo Machine hit-maker, has been making headlines in recent months following his divorce from Anerlisa Muigai. In a recent interview, Pol opened up about his marriage and the reasons behind their separation.
According to Pol, their relationship was on and off despite being legally married through a church wedding. He revealed that the couple had separated in the past, only to reconcile later.
"It's true I filed for Divorce, but the process is still ongoing. Divorce takes time, so legally we are still married, but emotionally, I don't think there's one of us who wants to be with the other," Pol said.
Pol also revealed that he had ignored red flags in their relationship, which he now regrets. He said that he had been prayerful and had ignored many signals that their relationship was not working out.
"My biggest regret was ignoring the signals in the relationship...I'm a very prayerful person...there were many signals, but I ignored them for a long time...maybe we wouldn't have gotten married last year if I had listened to the signals," Pol said.
Pol also spoke about the challenges he faced during the divorce period, saying that it was a difficult time in his life. He revealed that he had opted for online sessions to help him heal from the breakup.
When asked if he still had feelings for Muigai, Pol replied, "I just wish her well, but to say I still have feelings for her, no, there's nothing that can happen between us."
Pol's divorce proceedings are still ongoing at the primary court in Dar es Salaam. He has asked for space and privacy during this challenging time and has thanked his family, friends, and fans for their ongoing support.
