Gentrix Wekesa, a mother of 10, shared her story with a local TV station, revealing that her husband, Anthony Wekesa, wants her to deliver 12 more children.
According to Gentrix, her husband strongly cautions her against using any form of contraceptives, citing that having a few children is a foreign concept that subjects one to ridicule and laughter in the village.
Despite the challenges she faces as a sole breadwinner, Gentrix said her husband's goal is to have a large family, with her youngest child being just over a year old.
She revealed that her eldest child dropped out of school due to financial constraints, and her second eldest child now works as a herds boy to help support the family.
Gentrix also shared an incident where she sought help from a nurse and obtained a contraceptive, which led to her husband becoming violent.
