On Sunday, a disturbing incident occurred at Maili Mbili in Nyaribari Chache sub-county, Kisii County, where a four-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted by his stepfather, Victor Rabuko, for bedwetting.
According to reports, Rabuko, a health records officer at a private hospital in Kisii, gave the child a thorough beating, resulting in a broken left arm.
Kisii County Police Commander, Francis Kooli, confirmed the incident, stating that the child is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kisii town.
"I can validate that we have detained the father and will be charged in court over that serious assault," Kooli said.
It is worth noting that the child was taken to the hospital three days after the incident occurred on Sunday.
Commander Kooli urged women to report fathers who assault their children to a police station, emphasizing that the lives of the children are more important.
