Published on July 24, 2021, a report from TechMoran hinted that Samsung's Galaxy S22 flagships might finally catch up with Chinese competitors in terms of charging speed.
While Samsung's current flagships, such as the Galaxy S21, only support 25-watt charging, the company has been working on a 65W fast charger. Although it was initially expected to be included in the Galaxy Note 21 line, it seems that the technology will be reserved for the Galaxy S22 series.
According to insiders, the 65W Fast Charger device is currently undergoing testing, and it's expected that all three models of the Galaxy S22 line – the basic Samsung S22, the Galaxy S22 Plus, and the top-of-the-line Galaxy S22 Ultra – will support this high-speed charging.
However, it's likely that the corresponding adapter will not be included in the box and will have to be purchased separately. Given the current prices of similar chargers, it's estimated that the new 65W charger will cost around €50.
