On 13 May 2021, Premier League clubs unanimously agreed to terminate their three-year renewal broadcasting rights, a decision that will take effect and impact UK live and non-live broadcast agreements.

The termination will affect agreements with Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video, and BBC Sport for the next broadcast cycle, spanning from seasons 2022/2023 to 2024/2025.

As a result, the Premier League has awarded broadcasting rights to companies in Africa, including Multi-Choice, Infront, and beIn Sports. These companies will redistribute the rights to other media houses across the world.

Here is the list of English Premier League broadcast companies in Africa:

  • beIN Sports (Middle East and North Africa)
  • MultiChoice (South Africa)
  • MultiChoice (Sub-Saharan Africa)
  • Infront (Sub-Saharan Africa, free-to-air)

And here is the list of English Premier League live broadcast channels in Africa:

  • beIn Sports (Middle East and North Africa)
  • Supersport (South Africa)
  • Supersport (Other Sub-Saharan Africa)
  • Free-to-air channels: K24 (Kenya), Azam (Tanzania), Canal+ Afrique (West Africa), Sanyuka TV (Uganda), e.tv (South Africa)

The Premier League concluded its review for broadcasters ahead of the season debut in August 2021.
