Setter Jane Wacu is ready to make history as Kenya's national women's volleyball team, Malkia Strikers, takes on the world at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

It's a dream come true for Wacu, who has worked tirelessly with the national team for years. The team has not played at the Olympics in 17 years, and Wacu is determined to make the most of this opportunity.

"The Olympics is a dream come true for me," Wacu said. "I have achieved all that I could as a volleyball player, but had not played at this stage."

Wacu and her teammates are facing a tough opponent in Japan, who they will face in their opening match. However, Wacu is confident in her team's abilities and is looking forward to the challenge.

"Playing against the hosts Japan is very tricky," Wacu said. "But then again, they are playing at home and will be under pressure, so we will go into the match without fear."

Wacu's fellow setter, Joy Luseneka, is also excited to be playing at her first Olympic Games. "I am really hopeful that we will do what the coaches have taught us and hopefully we will have a very good opening match against Japan," Luseneka said.

The team's head coach, Luizomar de Moura, is also looking forward to a good start from his charges. "The training has gone on well even though we did not manage to play a friendly match," de Moura said.
