Published on July 24, 2021, Google marked the Tokyo Olympics with the launch of Doodle Champion Island Games, a nostalgic 16-bit console-style game.

The game, created by Japanese studio STUDIO4 ° C, is a tribute to the Summer Olympic Games, which took place from July 23 to August 8 in Tokyo.

Players take on the role of Lucky, a cat, who must collect seven sacred scrolls by winning seven competitions, including table tennis, skateboarding, archery, rugby, swimming, rock climbing, and marathon.

Control is achieved using the arrow buttons and space bar on the keyboard.

The game's characters and plots are inspired by Japanese fairy tales.
