On July 24, 2021, Google made its intelligent travel companion, Android Auto, available to anyone with an Android smartphone in beta.

This move allows users to enjoy the novelties of Android Auto before its official release, albeit with the possibility of encountering bugs.

Signing Up for the Android Auto Beta

Users can participate in the Android Auto beta by visiting the dedicated page and logging into their Google account. They can then click on the 'Become a tester' button to join the beta program.

It's worth noting that a compatible vehicle is recommended for a seamless Android Auto experience. However, users without a compatible vehicle can still use Google Maps, which offers some equivalent features through its 'Car Mode'.

Although the registration list for the beta program is regularly complete, places are still available, and users can register by being on the alert.
