Teaming up with friends, the content creator recorded the prank as they drove through the city streets, capturing the thieves' tactics.
“This is the Nairobi CBD area and we are going to show you how phone snatchers will take my phone,” the prankster stated.
With a dummy phone in hand, the prankster lured the thieves, who waited for the perfect moment to strike.
Many of the thieves hid behind pedestrians or coordinated with each other to attack, but the prankster was always one step ahead.
He even had a taser ready, just in case the prank got out of hand.
Despite a police officer being nearby, one of the robbers attempted to snatch the phone, highlighting the city's safety concerns.
As the video went viral, many Kenyans shared their own experiences with phone snatchers, emphasizing the need for increased security in the city.
