Yesterday, the Chief of Defence Forces Cup Championships reached a thrilling climax at different venues in Lanet, Nakuru, with three quarterfinal matches decided on penalty shootouts.

At the Kenya Military Academy, Sixth Brigade edged out stubborn Kahawa Garrisons 4-2 on postmatch penalties, while Rangers Regiment made it to the last four after whipping Armoured Brigade 5-4 on penalties.

Kenya Navy Mtongwe also surged into the semifinals after stopping Laikipia Airbase 1-0 thanks to Mohammed Kheri's strike in the 83rd minute at the 81Tank Battalion Grounds.

Kenya Navy Mtongwe will now face-off with Nairobi Garrisons tomorrow at 81 Tank Battalion Grounds, while Sixth Brigade play Rangers Regiment in the second semi-final at the same venue.
