On July 16, 2021, Krispah received an email from Koinange Masua, who claimed to be the Director of Communications at Kenyatta University, stating that Krispah's song had a negative impact on the university's brand and suggesting a collaboration with the university's artists to mitigate the effects.
However, Krispah revealed that the university's representative sent him an email stating that Kenyatta University cannot pay him to mitigate the effects of his song, which had gained 3.5 million views on YouTube.
Addressing the copyright strike filed by an upcoming artiste, Dexta Briyanka, Krispah stated that there was no sonic or visual relation between the two songs and that he was the music producer and master of his song.
After a conversation with Krispah's management, Dexta Briyanka claimed to be the ambassador of Kenyatta University and stated that Krispah's song had sampled his beat from the song V8.
Krispah's management ended the conversation by stating that their lawyers would be in touch.
Krispah has since threatened to take legal action against those involved in the malicious activity that led to the copyright strike on his YouTube video Ndovu Ni Kuu.
