On Sunday, Kenya recorded 323 new cases of Covid-19 from 3,676 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the total confirmed cases to 192,758.
The new cases represent a positivity rate of 8.8 per cent, with 298 Kenyans and 25 foreigners affected, including 180 males and 143 females.
The youngest case is a one-year-old baby, while the oldest is 90 years old.
As of Sunday, a total of 644 patients had recovered from the disease, with 604 from the home-based isolation and care program and 40 from various health facilities countrywide.
Unfortunately, 15 patients have succumbed to the disease, with three of them in the last 24 hours and 12 late deaths reported after conducting facility record audits in May, June, and July 2021.
Published on July 18, 2021, the ministry reported that 132 patients are currently admitted to various health facilities countrywide, while 4,384 are under the home-based isolation and care program.
As of today, a total of 1,620,465 vaccines have so far been administered across the country, with 1,038,074 first doses and 582,391 second doses.
