Covid-19: 323 New Cases and 15 Deaths in Kenya

On July 18, 2021, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced 323 new Covid-19 cases from 3,676 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

This brings the national tally to 192,758 and the cumulative number of samples tested to 2,053,912, with a positivity rate of 8.8 per cent.

Of the new cases, 298 are Kenyans while 25 are foreigners, with 180 being males and 143 females. The youngest is a one-year-old child and the oldest is 90 years old.

According to Kagwe, 644 patients had recovered from the disease, with 604 from the home-based and isolation care programme, while 40 are from various health facilities across the country.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 182,326, while the Covid-19 death toll rose to 3,775 after 15 more patients succumbed to the disease.
