On a sunny Saturday, Joseph Kipkoech, head of the Kenya News Agency (KNA), tied the knot with his bride Irene Jerop in a beautiful wedding ceremony at St Mary's Kapsowar Catholic church.

The colourful event, officiated by Father Benjamin Kanda, began with a church service that set the tone for a joyous celebration.

As the couple exchanged their vows, Father Kanda offered words of wisdom, advising them to lean on each other and complement each other's strengths and weaknesses.

He emphasized the importance of honouring God and His word in building a strong Christian home and family, and encouraged the couple to regularly attend church, read the Bible, and seek guidance in their marriage.

With a hint of humour, Father Kanda also cautioned Joseph Kipkoech not to always let his wife take the lead in prayers at home, but to take the lead as the authority in the home.

The wedding reception was a lively affair, with guests singing and dancing with the happy couple despite the rains.

Marakwet West legislator William Kisang was among those who congratulated the couple on their special day.

The KNA fraternity wishes Joseph Kipkoech and his bride Irene Jerop all the best in their marriage.
