Police Arrest Man for Allegedly Making Guns at Home

On Saturday, police arrested a 32-year-old man in Ogenga village, Kasewe B Sub-location, Rachuonyo East, Homa Bay County, for allegedly making guns at his home.

According to the area assistant chief, Hezbon Asero, the suspect had been manufacturing the guns in his home, which could be the main source of crime in the area.

Police raided the suspect's home and found three homemade guns, including two pistols and one resembling a G3-rifle, as well as three live rounds of ammunition.

The suspect was first taken to Sori Police post before being transferred to Oyugis Police Station for further interrogation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations officers.

Police Commander Justus Kucha stated that preliminary investigations revealed the suspect had been assembling the guns at his home and selling them to unknown gangsters.

The police boss added that the suspect will be arraigned in court once investigations into the matter are completed.
