Comedian Eric Omondi has sparked a heated exchange with Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua after flaunting Ksh3 million in cash on social media.

According to Omondi, the cash was a response to Mutua's recent comments labeling him as a poor person.

On Milele FM, Mutua had dismissed Omondi's claims of giving Bahati Ksh200,000 following the cancellation of a deal between him and the KFCB, saying:

"There is no money he gave out. Omondi is a poor man. Those are theatrics they use to show off. Which account did he use? They use such methods to jeer the government but they give out no cash. All these are poor people, who need help. Why did he wait until the last minute to give out the cash?" — Ezekiel Mutua, Kenya Film Classification Board CEO

However, Omondi has vowed to take down Mutua from his position at the KFCB by September, sparking a rally of support from fellow Kenyan entertainers.
