Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane is set to lead his team in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League final against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Complexe Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco, with kick-off at 10:00 PM EAT.
Mosimane sees the match as an opportunity for Al Ahly to win their 10th CAF Champions League title and make history, as he stated at the pre-match press conference.
"It's also an opportunity for the players and coaching staff to write their own history. It's an honor to play in a Champions League final," Mosimane said.
Despite acknowledging the threat posed by Kaizer Chiefs, Mosimane is confident in his team's ability to win, citing their hard work and preparation.
"We have worked very hard to be here. It's never easy but we think we can win. We respect our opponents but we have confidence in ourselves," Mosimane added.
Al Ahly captain Mohamed Elshenawy also praised Kaizer Chiefs, describing the match as a "very tough game" and expressing his team's readiness to face them.
