Caroline Kangogo, a 29-year-old police officer, was found dead at her parents' home in Elgeyo Marakwet County on July 16, 2021, after allegedly killing a male colleague in Nakuru and a businessman in Juja earlier this month.
According to her alleged suicide note, Kangogo was suffering from depression due to a broken marriage and her husband's alleged infidelity.
She apologized to the family of Constable John Ogweno, who she is alleged to have shot dead in Nakuru, and wished his wife and children well.
However, Kangogo had unkind words for her Juja victim, Peter Ndigwa, whom she claimed had robbed her Sh1.5 million in a car deal.
She also directed her parents to dress her body in a white wedding dress on her burial day, to fulfill what she could not get from her husband.
Her body is lying at Iten County Referral Hospital mortuary, and police are still investigating the circumstances under which she died.
County Police Commander Patrick Lumumba said police were still investigating how Kangogo sneaked into her parents' homestead and the circumstances under which she died.
