On July 14th, American rapper Wiz Khalifa, known for his hit song See You Again, took to Twitter to announce that he had tested positive for Covid-19.
Although he reported no symptoms, Khalifa requested his loved ones to maintain a safe distance from him, stating, 'Okay loved ones….sooo….Ya boy got Covid. No symptoms. Just away from me for a lil while.'
Wiz Khalifa, 33, joins a growing list of celebrities who have contracted the virus. Despite his diagnosis, he remains committed to engaging with his fans, sharing plans to create new content, plan raves, and work on a new project.
As the world grapples with the ongoing pandemic, Los Angeles County's Public Health Officer, Dr. Muntu Davis, recently issued a directive mandating mask-wearing indoors, citing the rise in Covid-19 cases among both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.
According to government data analyzed by the Associated Press, a significant majority of Covid-19-related deaths in the US have occurred among those who have not been vaccinated.
