Caroline Kangogo, a fugitive police officer, was found dead at her parents' home in Elgeyo Marakwet County on July 16, 2021.
According to reports, Kangogo's body was discovered by her mother in the bathroom of their rural home on Friday morning.
She had been missing since July 5, 2021, after allegedly killing a male colleague in Nakuru and a businessman in Juja.
Before her death, Kangogo had written a suicide note, in which she apologized to the family of constable John Ogweno, whom she allegedly shot dead in Nakuru.
She also expressed her love for Ogweno and wished his wife and children well.
However, Kangogo had unkind words for her Juja victim, Peter Ndwiga, whom she claimed had robbed her Sh1.5 million in a car deal.
She also directed her parents to dress her body in a white wedding dress on her burial day, as she had never had a wedding with her husband.
Additionally, Kangogo requested that her body be cremated and that all her property be given to her father to manage.
She also asked her parents to take care of her children and to assist those who knew her in dealing with depression.
County Police Commander Patrick Lumumba led a team of regular police officers and detectives in processing the scene and investigating the circumstances of Kangogo's death.
