The CIC Group, a leading insurance and financial services provider, has taken a significant step towards increasing efficiency in the claims reconciliation process by launching a self-service portal for garages and assessors.
The portal, which operates 24/7, is designed to serve garage owners, assessors, investigators, and adjusters, automating the bidding system and allowing them to respond to bid invitations online, confirm receipt of repair vehicles, initiate release, and aid the re-inspection process among other services.
Speaking during the launch, CIC General Insurance Managing Director Fred Ruoro emphasized the importance of embracing technology to empower garage owners and the company to transact effortlessly, saying, 'For a long time, insurance companies have been left behind in technological advancement. With this portal, we have invested in a technology that empowers the garage owners and the company to transact effortlessly. This technology shortens processes, brings to reality our goal of going paperless and provides efficiency for the benefit of our clientele.'
The portal also allows for tracking of turnaround time and improves documentation for garages, promoting better document management while improving communication to various stakeholders through email triggers.
Commenting on the portal, CIC Group GM Marketing & Customer Experience Kamiri noted, 'The platform is part of CIC’s transformation process, incorporating technology and eliminating paperwork to serve customers efficiently.
