Man Arrested for Killing 10 Children in Kenya

NAIROBI, Kenya - July 14, 2021

A 20-year-old man has been arrested and confessed to killing 10 children in Kenya, with the first murder occurring in 2016 when he was 15 years old.

Masten Milimo Wanjala was arrested on Wednesday following investigations into the murder of two of his victims whose bodies were found in Kabete.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Wanjala single-handedly massacred his victims in the most callous manner, sometimes through sucking blood from their veins before executing them.

Wanjala told detectives that he derived a lot of pleasure from killing his victims and that he had been on a killing spree targeting children between the ages of 12 and 13 years.

He is also believed to be behind some of the kidnappings that have rocked the city in the recent past, including the kidnapping of two boys from Kitengela & Mlolongo who were later strangled and their bodies dumped in a sewer line.

DCI Director George Kinoti says the man will be charged in court once investigations are completed.

The DCI will spare no efforts in ensuring that this trend of crime falls and in the coming days, the remnants of this trade if any, will find it extremely difficult to operate.
