The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) recorded Kapchorua Tea Company as the top price gainer on Wednesday, July 14th, 2021.
Kapchorua Tea's share price rose by 10% to close at KSh 93.50 per share, up from the previous closing price of KSh 85.00 on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021.
This significant gain marked a 19.87% increase in Kapchorua Tea's share price since the beginning of 2021, ranking it 12th on the NSE in terms of year-to-date performance.
Top Price Gainers ¶
Other notable price gainers on the NSE included Eveready East Africa, Diamond Trust Bank Kenya, and STANLIB Fahari Income REIT, which gained 8.25%, 6.72%, and 5.23% respectively.
On the losing side, CIC Insurance Group was the worst performer, with its share price declining by 8.61% to close at KSh 3.08 per share.
The NSE 20 Share Index and NSE 25 Share Index also recorded gains of 0.11% and 0.42% respectively.
