On July 14, 2021, Flutterwave, a pioneering African fintech company, announced the appointment of Oluwabankole Falade as its Chief Regulatory and Government Relations Officer.
Falade brings a wealth of experience in regulatory affairs and government relations, having previously worked as the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Government Relations at IHS Towers and holding various advisory positions at MTN and VISA.
As Chief Regulatory and Government Relations Officer, Falade will be responsible for ensuring that Flutterwave's interests and needs are aligned with those of regulators, while also strengthening the company's existing relationships and creating new ones.
Flutterwave CEO, Oluwagbenga Agboola, expressed his enthusiasm for Falade's appointment, stating, 'With Bankole joining our team, we believe he is well placed to strengthen our existing relationships as well as support us create new relationships.'
Agboola added that Falade will play a crucial role in supporting the company achieve its goal of creating endless possibilities for customers with key stakeholders in mind.
When asked about his new role, Falade said, 'I'm excited about the work Flutterwave has done so far in building trust with regulators. We want the same things with the regulators; to grow businesses and economies through technology.'
