Deputy President William Ruto has once again shared his reservations about his daughter June Ruto marrying a Nigerian man, Dr Ezenagu. Speaking to Radio Jambo on Tuesday morning, Ruto expressed his wish for his daughter to marry a Kenyan man.
According to Ruto, before June settled on Dr Ezenagu, she dated a certain man known as Ochieng'. Ruto revealed that he had met Ochieng' but he disappeared, and he is unsure what happened.
On a lighter note, Ruto joked that it felt like a loss after he envisioned June Ruto settling in Kenya only to be taken away to Nigeria. He lamented, albeit on a light note, that it would have been better if she married a Kenyan.
Despite his reservations, Ruto is hopeful that his other daughters will marry Kenyan men to fulfill his wish. He encouraged the Ochiengs and Irungus not to lose hope.
Ruto also hailed his wife Rachel Ruto as the backbone of their successful marriage. He attributed their success to finding a partner who prays for him, understands him, and helps him with work.
