On July 14, 2021, LitKenya News reported that Francis Kimanzi, the head coach of the Emerging Stars, had named a 20-man travelling squad for the Cecafa U-23 tournament.
The team includes players from various clubs in Kenya, with the aim of developing young talent and preparing them for international competitions.
According to LitKenya News, the squad will be led by captain Brian Owino, and will feature players such as Enosh Ochieng, Benson Okwang, and Titus Achesa.
