LSK President Nelson Havi Released on Sh10,000 Bond

Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi has been released from police custody after being held for over a day over assault allegations against suspended CEO Mercy Wambua.

According to reports, Havi was released on a Sh10,000 bond on Tuesday evening after being grilled by the police.

Speaking after his release, Havi claimed that his arrest was meant to harass him, and he is set to appear in court on Wednesday to take plea.

Wambua had alleged that Havi assaulted her during a meeting at the LSK offices, but Havi denied the claims, stating that Wambua was a trespasser at the offices.

Wambua had obtained conservatory court orders to block any arbitrary ejection from office, and Havi had accused her of shielding two of his former predecessors from liability over the alleged plunder of hundreds of millions of the society's funds.

Never, ever, be intimidated by desperate attempts of the Impunity Merchants. They have already lost. The Majestic People of Kenya know that you are on their side and the Impunity Merchants are their enemies. Whatever they do will not succeed.
